MHem – the Artist & Producer

Besides 9 CD releases on his indie label, Mario is the creator and host of “Morning Coffee With Mario”, Pax Stereo Tv’s flagship series. He returns to his musical roots with a new artist persona “MHem”, and a series of inspired classic song remakes using amazing artists gathered online as part of embracing producing 2023 style.

Mario Hemsley’s journey to become an accomplished musician and producer began as a result of his passion for creativity, which was amplified by his daily work as a critical care pediatrician. After working for 30 years as a hospitalist and previously running the pediatric ICU at LAC USC medical center, Mario found himself seeking a new outlet for his creativity and decided to turn to music. It was then that he crossed paths with Victor Allen, an entrepreneur and radio host who saw something special in Mario’s passion for music.

With Victor’s help, Mario founded Pax Stereo Records in 2003, with the aim of bringing innovative and experimental music to the masses. The label quickly gained a reputation for pushing the boundaries of music and introducing new artists to the world. Mario began performing under the moniker MHem, and his unique blend of hip hop, R&B, and electronic music quickly gained a following.

Over time, Mario’s love for music grew stronger, and he decided to pursue his passion full-time. Despite having no formal training in music, Mario began to teach himself how to use software and create beats that reflected his eclectic taste in music.

Victor also played a key role in helping to launch Mario’s own music career. As the host of the morning show “Morning Coffee With Mario”, which aired on the Pax Stereo TV network, Victor gave Mario a platform to showcase his music and connect with his audience.

Over the years, Mario’s passion for music continued to grow, and he began to experiment with different production techniques and software. In recent years, he has embraced the Izotope Music Production Suite as his go-to tool for producing music. With its cutting-edge AI technology, he’s been able to create a sound that is both polished and distinctive, showcasing his unique talent as a musician and producer.

Today, Mario is releasing music on a regular schedule, with over 50 songs planned for release as MHem. His music is a testament to his resilience, creativity, and passion for life, and serves as an inspiration to anyone looking to pursue their dreams. And while his journey may have started with the support of Victor and Pax Stereo Records, it is his own talent, creativity, and passion that have brought him to where he is today.
